The
committee and architect set out with confidence that
their preschool could be much more than the prosaic
accommodation that an off-the-shelf prefabricated
alternative could provide. They were determined that
their building should be something special.
What this project shows is that even the most modest building can be humane, sustainable, specifically appropriate to its context and a source of pleasure to its users every day.
