Stretham

Haysom Ward Miller was appointed by the Stretham & Wilburton Community Land Trust to act as architects for a scheme which includes 50 new homes, new GP facilities, 3 new workspaces for small local businesses and around 6 acres of new public open space, bridleways and footpaths. Land is also designated for a new community hall.

Houses are arranged around a 'village green' and pond and building forms have been influenced by exisiting Stretham houses.

The design brief has developed out of a comprehensive community consultation process led by Community Spirit Partnership CIC, which Haysom Ward Miller developed into a scheme proposal.

At the pre-planning stage, the work completed won a CLT award for 'the Most Effective Partnership'.

Phases 1-3 are now complete and this has proved a popular development.
