Bride

Bride was an art project which included a collaboration between a composer, a local dance company and artist Emily Haysom for a creative installation in the Lady Chapel of Ely Cathedral.  A collection of floating forms were suspended above the dance. 

 

The structure could not be supported of the historic fabric of the building, so Haysom Ward Miller worked with Emily Haysom, the structural engineers (Andrew Firebrace Partnership) and a local cabinet maker to design and build a structure made of four timber masts which would be compatible with both the artwork and the surrounding gothic structure.
