Norfolk Coastal House

A new house built off the foundations of an existing bungalow seeks to create a happy contemporary feel whilst sitting comfortably in the local vernacular.

The south elevation of this new house opens generously into its secluded garden away from the driving north winds. Large areas of glass are made possible by the high levels of insulation in the walls, roof and floor and through the use of high performance but competitively priced windows which are delivered glazed and decorated from Denmark.

There is a double height hall, oak floors with underfloor heating and the internal doors are made up from surplus floor boards from site. The project won the Federation of Master Builders prize for 'Best House – Eastern Region'.
