Haysom Ward Miller have expertise in the design of Health Centres and understand the integration of NHS requirements in the project design and the scheme development process.
Woolpit Surgery was refurbished to provide administrative space in the centre of the building, and reorder the circulation space to reduce the distances that patients walked from the reception to the consulting rooms. Coloured floors and walls and LED lighting help guide patients around the building and clearly define the nursing space and the GP rooms. Wayfinding is much improved.
New rooflights bring daylight and ventilation into the central rooms. A new purpose made reception desk provides generous space for interaction between patients and staff.
