Rose Castle
Formerly the 'seat' of the Bishops of Carlisle for the last 800 years, this project refurbished the grade 1 listed castle into a Peace and Reconciliation centre.
The work included roof repairs, the introduction of fifteen new bath and shower rooms, new heating, new plumbing, re-decoration, conversion of outbuildings and new foul and surface water systems.
Change of Use Planning Approval was granted on 19 September 2018 and Listed Building Consent followed with only two conditions; start within three years and do it all in accordance with the drawings.
